Green is the New Red

For those of you who are unfamiliar, we've done a lot of benefit work for those caught up in what is called the "Green Scare". This is an important cause for us and something that we throw all of our weight behind.
The "Green Scare" refers to the ongoing roundup of anarchists, eco- and animal liberation oriented groups/individuals, and activists working against the spread of civilization further into the wildness that surrounds us. The targets of this effort, carried out by the NSA, FBI, CIA, and any number of Joint Terrorism Task Forces, are the formless cells of the Earth Liberation Front (ELF) and the Animal Liberation Front (ALF). Spurred from a refusal to rely on aboveground resistance tactics, "members" of the ELF and ALF have set forth an underground campaign against those enslaving, torturing and abusing animals, as well as those who have threatened our wildness.
The primary tactic has been arson. With an established set of guidelines centered on causing no harm to any life, the past decades have seen hundreds of millions in damages and freed untold numbers of animals without ever having harmed another person or animal.
Despite this, the ELF and ALF have been deemed the number one domestic terrorist threat in the United States and likewise throughout Europe. In the wake of 9/11, the lingo that had been presented beforehand to suppress the discussion and prevalence of animal and earth liberation thinking/action fell into place with newly invigorated terrorism legislation.
As the corporations and officials always wanted, those who protested and defied notions of Progress could be locked away without question and written off through a veil of patriotic vitriol.
The ensuing campaign which would engulf underground and aboveground activists led to lengthy jail sentences, entrapment, a bevy of snitches and informants, scare tactics and threats. What remains is many of our friends in jail facing the most strict regulations and ridiculous sentences.
Because we have been labeled eco-terrorists.
Because we have seen the lies of Progress and refused to sit by.
Because we have felt the destruction and enslavement of wildness and known it is ours.
Because we have seen beyond the promises of modernity and know the emptiness it brings.
Because we know, in our hearts and minds, that this won't stop until the earth, our earth, is dead.

Take the time, learn about what is going on. Support the Green Scare prisoners. Understand that as the laws and language surrounding terrorism legislation barrels on into the end times, it will only get worse. Understand that we must get louder.

This is contemporary history at it's best. And it is a sign of the times.
